Description
Inscribed: “View once daily before bedtime or four times a day every five days until symptoms disappear.”
A color painting based on a black and white original by the Song dynasty Chinese painter Li Tang (李唐 c. 1050-1130) as a way to learn from his style. Li Tang was famous for his “ax cut” texture strokes. This is one of a series of paintings called “New Antiques” on a traditional, but now hard to find, paper which resembles the look of antique paintings on weathered silk. The text is mine and was not on the original painting.
With traditional Chinese paper backing.
