A color painting by Lu Kesi based on one by the Ming dynasty artist Zhang Ruitu (張瑞圖 1570-1641). This work is an example of copying something by an earlier artist in order to learn their style, and then updating it and having a bit of fun—with apologies to Zhang (the inscription is not on the original).
