Peach Blossom Spring

“Peach Blossom Spring is the story of a fisherman who one day discovered a cave which led to a valley with peach trees blooming. The people there had come many years ago to escape the civil wars raging over the land. After staying a while the fisherman went home. He could never find the cave again.”

A painting based on one by the Chinese artist Shitao (石濤 1642-1707) as a way of learning from his style. Click on the image to view a larger version.
